All you beauty junkies already know what’s up
In this article, I’m going to be gushing a little (okay a lot), but bear with me, I promise there’s a good reason for it. *Takes a deep breath* Cult beauty brand Sunday Riley has finally arrived in Singapore!!
In case you didn’t already know, Sunday Riley is a highly-raved beauty brand known for their amazing products that are rich in active ingredients and natural oils.
They’ve amassed a loyal following of celebrities such as Victoria Beckham, Cameron Diaz, and Helen Mirren, and are mainstays backstage at fashion shows!

I first discovered the miracle brand online and being the huge skincare nerd I am, decided to do some research and even trawled through Reddit to find out what had everyone head over heels.
Though the price point is higher than some other skincare products, the overwhelming consensus (so rare on the internet) was that it’s worth every cent for the high-quality ingredients and effectiveness of the product!
It felt like a dream come true when I was told that I would be attending the Sunday Riley launch event along with Kathleen, our new fashion and beauty editor!
Not only would I get a first-hand experience in finally testing these much-loved products, but I’d also get to meet the founder, Sunday Riley herself! So before I start gushing (even more), here’s what went down at the event:
Held at SEAR Steakhouse that sits on the 45th floor of the Singapore Land Tower, the venue was beautiful with its soaring ceilings, modern rustic décor and gigantic windows overlooking the city.
The location was embellished with huge bunches of balloons, lush greenery, brightly-coloured tropical leaves and tons of Sunday Riley products.
From the bar counters to the dining tables, samples were left all around for guests to try as they dined and mingled! The lush botanicals also instantly reminded us of the potent botanical ingredients infused in all of Sunday Riley products.
Kat and I arrived at the venue a little early, so we got the chance to wander around and mingle. A staff member recommended that we hit the bar, where in addition to the usual drinks offered, there were 2 cocktails specially created for this event.
One was a blue-tinted, Cucumber-Infused Gin and Tonic inspired by the Sunday Riley’s best-selling blue-toned Luna Sleeping Night Oil and Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream.
The other was a lovely sunset-hued, Burnt Orange Mimosa inspired by the hugely popular, C.E.O. C+E antiOxidant Protect + Repair Moisturizer! While I liked how refreshing the Gin and Tonic was, but I preferred the Mimosa mostly because of the hints of citrus, and because it matched the sunset outside perfectly!
If I wasn’t such a skincare nerd, I could probably spend this whole article gushing about the food. We were served a 3-course dinner, and everything was so good. The first course was a healthy but hearty salad of warm baby spinach and pancetta, which I scarfed down instantly.
Before our main courses were served, some staff members surprised the crowd by revealing themselves as dance crew members, performing a lively dance number to a Bruno Mars song.
As much fun as everyone was having, the excitement only grew when Sunday Riley got up to speak! She was warm and inviting as she introduced us to the brand but kept her speech short, making it clear that while she was super excited about the launch, she wanted to let the products speak for themselves.
The night briskly continued with the arrival of our second course, which was a choice between Pira Grilled USA Prime Natural Ribeye or Fish of the Day. I chose the steak, which was set atop a creamy bed of mashed potatoes and peppers.
We capped the dinner service off with a homemade apple pie served with ice cream and pouring cream. It was a modern take on a classic dessert, but with all the home-made flavours we know and love.

Though it was a sit-down dinner event, the Sunday Riley team encouraged us to get up and move around. In between each course, we’d mingle, test products, sample more drinks, and most excitingly, try out the aura reading booth! I’ll be honest, I’m usually little sceptical about these things, but it was such a rare opportunity!
All you had to do was sit in front of a special camera, place your hands on some metal plates and smile for the camera for a few seconds. Then, the picture of your aura would be printed out along with a detailed analysis of what the colours of your aura represent.
A professional aura reader was also on hand to help interpret our auras! It was a vastly interesting experience, and from the comments all around me, many people seemed to find the readings almost scarily accurate.
We were also able to get a fashion illustration of ourselves personally drawn on the spot by Grace Ciao. She’s a talented local artist famous for her fashion illustrations and has worked with numerous international fashion brands. She quickly sketched and coloured illustrations of us in the outfits we were wearing that night and yes, we got to take the artwork home with us!
Lastly, as Sunday wished for the products to speak for themselves, all the invitees were gifted with a customised Sunday Riley backpack filled with full-sized samples of their 5 best-selling products: Autocorrect, C.E.O., Good Genes, Luna and Tidal!
Kat and I brought these back to the office for everyone to test together, and the feedback has been amazing! We’re already planning which of the other products from the range we want to get from Sephora.
Overall, the Sunday Riley launch dinner was a blast (and delicious). The brand’s philosophy of holistic wellness was well-represented in their attention to every detail in the dinner and really emphasised the transformative effect wellness has on our bodies and minds. Their products are honestly amazing, and worth all the hype I’ve seen on the internet!
