3 DIY Hair Treatments with Dyson

As we all know, being a mom isn’t easy, and mothers hardly have the time to indulge in hour-long hair care routines. So I’ve partnered with Dyson to share 3 quick and effective hair masks for busybees and busy mums! What’s great is that all the ingredients featured in this post can be sourced from your own kitchen!

I roped in two of my mommy-friends: Debbie and Nerissa – to try out DIY hair treatments (more about that below) that target their hair concerns.

For those with little time to spare, the Dyson Supersonic™ Hair Dryer saves time with its high velocity airflow. With its controlled yet gentle air flow, it doesn’t compromise the efficacy of your hair treatments!

In other news, Dyson is rolling out a Special Mother’s Day edition of the Supersonic™ Hair Dryer. Designed by founder, James Dyson, the dryer is encased in a charming rose leather box. Spoil your mum with this for a luxurious get-ready experience!

Tip: Wear gloves when applying the hair mask if you do not want to get your hands dirty.

Tip: Apply the treatment to area(s) you feel require nourishment. It is recommended you massage the treatment/ mask into your scalp for better results.

My hair treatment :
Concern: Lack of moisture
Solution: Coconut milk to add a layer of moisture.

Ingredients:
1 egg
1 cup of coconut milk
1 Squeeze of lemon
2 Tablespoons of olive oil

Mix coconut milk after beating the egg.
Add olive oil and a squeeze of lemon and mix well.
Rinse the treatment off after 15-20 minutes.

Debbie:
Concern: Frizzy hair
Solution: Apple cider to eliminate and soften the kinks.

Ingredients:
1 juiced lemon
1 tablespoon of honey
¼ tablespoon of apple cider vinegar

Simply combine the lemon, honey and apple cider vinegar and apply carefully to your strands.
Rinse the mask off after 10 minutes.

Nerissa:
Concern: Dull hair
Solution: Banana to soften and add luminosity

Ingredients:
1 banana
1 tablespoon of honey
1 tablespoon of olive oil

Slice up the banana before adding olive oil and honey.
Mash everything together till it achieves the consistency of a purée.
Let the mask sit for 15 minutes before washing it off.

Give these hair masks a go with your mum, for a fun mother-daughter bonding session while treating your tresses!

Share with us if you’ve attempted these masks, or any mask(s) that worked for you!
