Hey guys, welcome to my new blog! I hope you love the design as much as I do! Yoko from Hirecalling – a web and graphic design company – and I worked really hard on putting this site together, and I am so excited to start blogging here! It’s like moving to a newly renovated house, or getting a new yearly organiser and starting afresh!
If you’ve followed me from my previous shared blog, 1blog2lives.com, I made a couple of announcements over the past two months about Joyce and I moving forward and starting up our own respective blogs. We will stop blogging at 1blog2lives in July, and Joyce will start up her new blog in August. To those conspiracists, NO THERE WAS NO FEUD BETWEEN JOYCE AND I. Like I’ve mentioned on 1blog2lives, this is a perfectly amicable decision, and we both love each other very much still (: By the way, Joyce is back in Singapore (yay!), I’ll be meeting her next week to catch up and I’m so happy to finally meet her after months of being apart, long-distance relationships can be so hard!
Now that the whole 1blog2lives issue has been cleared up, there are a couple of people I would like to thank for making this new website possible:
- Yoko, my incredibly amazing and friendly website designer. She nailed every single thing I requested for, like incorporating a banner slideshow, designing social media icons, and having a white brick-wall background! During the designing and setup process, I was unsure of a lot things, but Yoko held my hand (virtually over Skype) and guided me so much, so thank you Yoko dear! If you want Yoko to design your website, get in touch with her here.
- Amanda – also known as the girl who takes my photos on the blog – for drawing up the “dreachong” logo you see on the top left hand corner. Also, I’m so happy I have a web design that can do Amanda’s photos justice. Thanks so much beebsy!
- My Dad, Mom, Brother, Imran, Joyce, Jemimah, Cindy, Nerissa, Shayne, Charles, Sarah, Vilvian, Gui Jie, and everyone else who has given me so much love, advice, support and encouragement during this process. Thank you so much guys! (:
- Last but not least, I owe every success to you guys – my readers – as well! Thank you so much for your support, without it I don’t think I’d be able to have the confidence to start up dreachong.com. To readers from 1blog2lives, thank you for visiting my new site and I hope you continue to support Joyce and I (:
And lastly, here’s a quick paragraph on my outfit featured in today’s post: This is the second outfit I’ve styled for H&M, you can check out the first outfit here – I’ve collaborated with the lovely people at H&M Singapore to feature 4 H&M outfits styled by myself. I tried to be a little more adventurous with my styling since I was spoilt for choice at their showroom, so I chose a glow-in-the-dark bralet, a maxi skirt with thigh-high side slits, and my favourite accessory, a hat. I’m not particularly a bralet person, so wearing one was pretty wild by my standards. That said, I love how this outfit turned out! My eyes made babies when I saw the edited photos, I mean, awesome clothes + amazing Amanda as your photographer + sunset at Dusun = best photo set ever. All the H&M items you see on me today are available in stores right now (:
To thank my followers and readers for their virtual love, I’m holding a New Blog Launch Giveaway to celebrate the grand opening of my blog!
